Bloody good news that Gadaffi appears to be on his way out, and let us hope as few people as possible get killed in Tripoli, but this is hardly an Obama foreign policy victory, as I have seen it described elsewhere, much as I generally admire him.

He and the administration had to be dragged kicking and screaming into helping on this one, urged to do so by the Europeans, especially those cheese munching surrender monkeys in France, who correctly spotted that this was an historic opportunity to get rid of a truly nasty dictator.

Let us also hope the rebels are co-operatively and critically west-facing and don’t turn out to be a bunch of extremist hoodlums, too.
