The problems Mr Trump is giving business in America.

It seems like Donald’s election is causing a few problems for American companies doing business abroad, if this is anything to go by.

Just made us laugh to be honest … and struck us as a very funny piece of marketing given Trump’s approval rating in Europe, which would struggle to register on any opinion poll.

Meanwhile, we see a petition to the UK Parliament to stop Britain offering him a State visit, as that means he would have to be met and looked after by the Queen, has currently reached over a million and a half signatures.

Will anything ever get through his thick skin? Probably not.

Brilliant – thanks so much Yolly, it really helps to see something like that – I’m going to forward it to everyone I know, I know they’ll love it too! God bless and protect that firm – it is going to be an awful four years for anyone with a) intelligence and b) compassion and a conscience – and not just in the US, but everywhere.

He lost the popular vote by nearly 3 million – but says he didn’t. Hardly anyone came to his inauguration – but says that all the independent media lied (some conspiracy that was!)… his lies just go on and on and on. God help us all.

We actually have a dual presidency – Bannon and Putin. As long as their interests lie together, it’s just Bannon, but eventually I think sparks will fly I doubt whether any American on Trump’s staff would know another language; however, some busybody is sure to tell them about this. So thank you for NOT publishing the name of the company. (Oh, and hi, Pat!)

Oh please. Don’t tell me you are believing rumor that the ‘power brokers’ of the Republican Party are about to ‘rise up’.

I have one very strongly sourced rumour. I wouldn’t be in the least surprised. He’s served his purpose in dragging Republicans along down the ballot, he was never intended to win, now he risks undoing all their success. He’s definitely vulnerable.

My crystal ball isn’t that good as you never cease to point out. I think we did have fifty bucks that he won’t make four years? But I am serious – the rumours of a move against him are much better sourced than the left media. And yes, it’s coming from his own side.

I suggest the fear is that he is trashing the Republican brand, and also that they are anxious about the Republican leadership being cut out of Government, effectively.

You make a good point Yolly – his sudden ascent to power outwith the normal Republican mechanisms means that some of those who would normally be benefiting from a Republican in office are not – which means trouble. If his destablisation of the normal two party system in America means that the normal power brokers on both sides don’t get their power and influence, they are bound to make a power play at some time. To every action there is an equal and opposite reaction – but behind the scenes most of the time.

Historians (should we survive this without him starting a war that will end the world) will have a field day analysing what has gone on behind the scenes.
