Pakistan is a bloody mess. It harbours Al Qaeda, it murders its own elected Prime Ministers and soon-to-be Prime Ministers, it is riddled with corruption, it displays the worst excesses of Islamic extremism.
However, it does not deserve this, and we are not doing ourselves any favour by continuing this policy.
This many civilian deaths, this many child deaths, this many people driven mad or alientated – this is a disaster in the making. We are storing up trouble for the future.
Do I know what the answer to Pakistan is? No. I just know this is not it.
